“If I had to do it all again, everything, everything we’ve suffered and lost, getting you back, I’d do it all again, Ziva, all of it.” He tells her softly and she nods and whispers that she knows, because she does, she really, really does.
“I’d do it all again for you too.”
Tony & Ziva as Partners
I don’t think that many people appreciate the non-romantic side of their partnership as much as they should. These two are perfect together, whether romantic or not, they were meant to be in each others lives. Right off the bat, they had each others sixes. From their first undercover mission, Tony was willing to die for her, because she was his partner. During their time in the container, they looked out for each other, Tony held her head down protectively during the last firefight and Ziva helped him down from the container once they were freed. She’s offered to drive him home on a few occasions, and Tony is the one thats always looking out for her the most. They always have each others back and are willing to die with and for each other.
They both trust each other, and they even overcame their hardest test of friendship when Rivkin came into town. Jealousy and deception was thrown into the mess and before Tony even thought twice about not trusting Ziva, he went to her apartment to clear this whole thing up, especially because he hated ‘fighting’ with her. You could see it in his eyes late season six, he hated the constant tension and tip toeing around, they’re so much more comfortable when they can invade each others personal space, a line that they cross that has never needed and does not need to be adressed. But Tony never lost faith in her. He sought vengeance for her death and ended up rescuing her.
They’re so in-sync with each other, they don’t even need to give the other more than a blink and they know exactly where they need to be and where the other one will be. They share a bond that is just so indescribable, they’re the best at what they do, and neither one of them would be the same person they are without each other.
