Ziva: My… mother… never told me what kind of man my father was. Perhaps she thought I was not strong enough to handle it.
Gibbs: Nah, she was just being a mom.
Ziva: How do you know?
Gibbs: Perspective.
# this scene was so beautiful and heartwarming. here you have a man who lost his actual family and surrounding him you have this small group of people who have always been searching for family. and Gibbs just takes them all in and fosters them and watches them - essentially - grow up and come into their own. they’re all really dependent on each other because they are more than just a team - they are the people that you call when you need someone the most. and they are the people who will always be there no matter what. they are each others’ family and it is moments like these that continue to make these characters so special.
